BOND ISSUE PROJECTS
Allen Bowden School Bond Projects: The Board of Education at their March board meeting approved a bid for the covered walkways and new parking lots. The bid was awarded to Helterbrand. The project will begin right after school is dismissed for the summer. The Gym roof has been completed and the new Heating and Air Conditioner units have been set. Currently the contractors are finishing up this project. Continue to watch the progress of our bond issue. Thank you patrons for approving this much needed projects. Allen Bowden Public School is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children, 18 years old and younger, without charge, and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability; there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. Meals are also available for adults: Breakfast is $2.00 and Lunch is $3.25. Meals will be provided in the Allen Bowden cafeteria, located at 7049 Frankoma Road, Tulsa, OK, 74131, Monday through Thursday beginning on June 4th and ending on June 28th. Breakfast will be served from 8:30am - 9:30am. Lunch will be served from 11:30am - 12:30pm. No meals will be served on Fridays.
Wildcat Basketball Skills Camp will be held Monday, June 18th through Friday June 22nd. Times are 8:30am - 11:30am for 1st through 4th grade and 12:30pm - 3:30pm for 5th through 8th grade. See you there!
Noteworthy Information
All Speech Therapy Service files from the 1996-1997 to 2001-2002 school years will be destroyed on May 28, 2012. If you, or someone you know, have a file and would like to retrieve it, please contact the school before the aforementioned date. Thank you.

According to the student handbook, students should not be on school campus before 8:00 a.m. or after 3:10 p.m. as no supervision will be provided before or after school hours. The only exceptions will be school-sponsored activities.
To protect the safety of our students at Allen Bowden School, it is the policy of the Allen Bowden Board of Education that any students arriving on campus before 8:00 a.m. and/or left after 3:10 p.m. must go to the Latchkey Program so they will be supervised. Charges incurred at the Latchkey Program will be the responsibility of the parent. Office staff will NOT be available to watch your child.
The fees for morning Latchkey are as follows: $10.00 per week or $3.00 per day. The fees include breakfast for your child. Latchkey is located in the south end of the 4th/5th Grade building, and the hours of operation are from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. each morning that school is in session. At 8:00 a.m., students are taken to the cafeteria for breakfast and dismissed from there with other students.
